sweet wedding fun!

okay, here's the thing - i absolutely adored my wedding.  it was sweet, fun, and intimate, just how we wanted it.  we had a picnic and lawn games and art - how could it not have been great?! of course, i was not able to do everything my heart desired since we have never owned a money tree {what were we thinking?}.  still, for the most part, i was pretty psyched about how everything turned out.

but every once in a while, a wedding comes along that stops me dead in my tracks and makes me long to do it all over again.  a wedding that makes me oh so sad i didn't have more time for planning.  a wedding that makes me literally gasp out loud from the joyous energy it exudes!

this is exactly one of those sorts of weddings...
a bicycle parade to their reception?!

super cute ice cream sandwiches with adorable menu coupons?!

silly, rockin, live music by their friends?!

a mini golf course mapping out their relationship?!

oh so fun!
but i suppose that's what you expect from a wedding that was coordinated by jordan ferney!
make sure you go check out all of the other ridiculously happy photos in the links below.
you won't be sorry!

all photos were found on the photographer's website: rachel thurston and green wedding shoes.
it was also featured on martha stewart weddings.

  1. I know what you mean, you see a great idea from a wedding, and you go "why didn't I think of that". I would love to do it all again, it was just an amazing day, so if it wasn't so damn expensive I would do it all over again:)

  2. Oh my goodness! I LOVE it. Hmm.... How do I convince Noah to go non-traditional? It looks like so much fun and love is surrounding them instead of stress and plans. Why not make it a fun day to remember? Thanks for some great ideas Kim!

  6. Oh, it's all too cute! I'd seen the first photo, but the rest of them I hadn't at all. A bicycle parade? Ice cream? Mini golf? Sign me up! I've been keeping track of inspirational ideas for my some-day wedding and versions of these are going on that list.

  7. Wow, that is one seriously creative wedding!! Yep, would expect nothing less by the brilliant Jordan. This looks like it could have been your wedding too, Kim! The whole feel of it - fun, spontaneous, pure joy - just seems so like you (& your wedding!) :)

  9. that looks so fun! If I was a better bike rider, that would totally be a rocking option. I love when people break the mold on the wedding traditions.

  10. I just heard about this a few days ago, and bookmarked the page on my desktop because I didn't have time to read about it or look at all of the pictures, but how ridiculous, right? I don't necessarily need to "have" this wedding, but it would be fun to go to!

  13. These are so whimsical and adorable. As girly as I am, I don't really fantasize about my wedding (that is, if it ever happens, haha), mostly because I've been a bridesmaid so many times that the idea of having a big huge wedding stresses me out. But the weddings that have been the most fun are the ones like yours: low-key, not too fancy, family & friends, kind of modest.

    :)

  22. I think no matter how wonderful our own weddings may be, we'll ALWAYS see someone else's amazing idea and think "Man! I wish I had thought of that!"
