Soundtrack to a Lazy Summer Day

the days are warm here.  our windows are always open and the fans are always blowing.  we make
 lemonade from our very own lemon tree.  we cook only at night after the sun is gone and
coolness sets in.  we are barefoot almost all day.  

we play in the park.  we catch lizards and stand in the shade of trees.  we hum along to the
distant music of ice cream trucks.  we watch the friday night fireworks over dodger stadium.
small birds fluff themselves over an old pie pan filled with water in our yard.  

whatever the calendar has to say, we've known summer is already here.
