well yes, this could be read in a way that suggests one must replace cozy sweat pants with restrictive formal wear, top off a hot cup of tea with laxatives, and fully remove that protective personal bubble. of course, this could also mean you aren't truly living life unless you're facing challenges, taking risks, facing fears, embracing the unknown, and giving honor to all of your various emotions. i'll go ahead and let you decide which way you'd like to be inspired today.
what a great message! hope you been well kim, it's been a while!
ReplyDeleteYour posts regularly make me laugh...:)
ReplyDeleteI know how I'll read that line today.
Well then my life must be totally beginning right now.
ReplyDeleteHa! You totally made me laugh and feel good all at the same time. Comfort zones are sooo comfy though! But, I do think I'm up for a little push. By push I mean a gentle urging in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteFacing challenges and facing fears... definitely on my list these days.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this post! I love how empowering it can be to take risks and embrace the unknown. And I love your reminder to honor all of our various emotions.
ReplyDeletewell this is true enough! i have a risk aversion! but nothing ventured, nothing gained. it is all tricky, but one must take some risks in life! or not! but it is better to try a little! :)
ReplyDeleteI really hope this isn't about a cup of tea with laxatives...
ReplyDeleteSO true and so hard. However, I find once you do what you fear, the fear doesn't eat you and you can get on with your life.
ReplyDeleteThat is so inspirational :) And definitely applicable to my life right now!
ReplyDeleteHa ha very good - I love your sense of humor - you always make me smile out loud.
ReplyDeleteLove getting out of the comfort zone -make you feel alive, it has been a while for me perhaps I shall do something slightly bonkers today.

ReplyDeleteAs long as I'm still allowed to wear my yoga pants, I'm totally on board with this idea :) haha
ReplyDeletethis is such a great message and come to think of it, the most important happenings in life have all been at that point where my comfort zone was pushed beyond its safe zone. eeps!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm all about embracing uncomfortable situations lately and as scary as they are, getting over the hump of anxiety or nerves or whatever you want to call it is a truly magnificent experience.
