gratitude

it's been a long, busy week.
today i am just focusing on breathing...
breathing out all the stress and any negative energy within,
breathing in all of the peace and magic that exists in the world.

a large part of this breathing process involves cultivating a healthy dose of gratitude.
this week i am thanking my lucky stars for:

- silly late night movies.
- accomplishing a whole bunch of stuff on my to-do list.
- sweet memories, both from the past and the ones i'm making now.
- deep conversations, even those that require great courage.
- the flowers that dannon bought me.
- homemade biscuits.
- shopping for vinyl.
- new discoveries.
- gelato.
- hiking with jo.
- relaxation.
- hearty laughter.
- cute kitties.

what are you thankful for this week?

  2. I am thankful that I found you again, Kim!! I have enjoyed reading your blog and learning all about you in your adult life!! In my own life, I am thankful for my dog, who give me unconditional love, my husband who is my best friend, and for my family who I love dearly and make me feel like I really belong some place whenever I am with them. Hope you have a great weekend!!!

  8. Flowers, memories, and deep conversations are definitely worth being grateful for. I wish you could rub a little of that courage off on me... There are some friendships that probably need repair in my life. oh, and do you have a recipe for the homemade biscuits? I'm all ears. :)

I also realized I forgot to mention earlier this week, but no I did not make my blog background. I have some HTML experience but not enough to make a template. I'd love to learn though!

  9. AND... I've been to California. By which I mean I drove through it for about fifteen minutes once to say I've been there but I haven't really been there. Noah is actually flying out to Los Angeles in September to see his older brother who lives there. That's probably where my dream cropped up from and my mind subconsciously relates CA to you. :) I wish I was going with him because then there might be a slim chance of actually meeting you in real life. Didn't you say at one point that you used to come out this way? Mt Jackson or something?

  12. I always love your Friday lists :) Hope you have a lovely weekend, Kim!

I'm thankful that most of my friends were able to leave their apartments/houses and have relatively little/no damage though I'm sad for the few who lost everything. I'm thankful that my belly is finally (almost) back to normal and I can start reintroducing foods (and wine!) again. Thankful for sunny Fridays and happy hours on boats in the city :)

  14. That is a wonderful gratitude list! Mine includes: coffee, wine, friends, and best of all . . . my BFF coming to visit from Pittsburgh this Saturday! We haven't seen each other in over a year so I absolutely cannot wait to have her for a long weekend. We've been attached at the hip since we were 14. :)

    Happy long weekend, Kim! xoxox
