gratitude

fresh flowers the mister gave me,
seeing photos from our friends' wedding {which we were unable to attend},
trying my very first nectarine {oh they're so delicious!}
a 7 day pass to a gym {i miss the gym so much},
allowing some of my talent to shine,
making a positive impact on others,
the end of a very long {but still great} week,
finally hearing music by the mister's band,
finally, a day off {that's today!},
jonathan safran foer,
my morning pages,
dead man's bones,
ice cream!!!,
and
iced coffee from my local coffee shop.

these are just a few of the things i'm thankful for this week.
how about you?

{oh this picture has nothing to do with
anything, i just really like it}

  1. Your first tangerine! How adorable!

    I'm reading St. Lucy's Home For Girls, and I LOVE it. I've only read the first three stories, and I feel like they're the best stories I've ever read. Thank you!

  4. Ooo, which of his books are you reading? I've been meaning to read either Everything is Illuminated or Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close but can't seem to get my hands on a secondhand copy anywhere and can't bring myself to buy new paperbacks for more than ten dollars if I don't have a gift card...Luckily my birthday is soon. :)
    Anyway, have a lovely weekend!

  6. I love that you share (weekly) what you're thankful for. Counting my blessings is something I have lately made a conscious effort to do more of.

    I'm thankful for:
    my love Joshua and his big lips.
    my mother's health
    rasberries
    the freedom of choices
    Angus and Julia Stone

  9. White or yellow nectarine? The white ones are my favorite fruit. Ever I think. Though figs... Happy weekend, my charming friend!

  10. You tried your first nectarine? Was it hard or soft? If it was hard, let me suggest something for you. Slice them fairly thin then put a thin slice of brie or parm on it and eat. Or, spread a soft cheese like barrata or creme fraiche and drizzle some honey on it.

  19. Your first nectarine?! Aren't they delish??!!
    Oh, and I saw your tweet a few days back about saying no to adding that extra day of work that was offered, thereby keeping your day off. Good girl! I think I actually let out a little cheer for you when I read that one! :)
