old time romance.

apparently it was a thing back then to hang from various windows in order to snag a kiss
before heading off to war.  how sweet and fun are these photos?

i hope your day is full of love!

ps - later today i'll be over at brandi's blog, not your average ordinary, sharing one of my favorite corners of LA.  take a stroll on over and check it out!

  1. I want to frame all of these and create a collage of old fashioned romance on my wall :) So sweet. Also, that guy on the left in that first picture is totally looking up the girl's skirt. Don't you think? lol

  2. So so so cute! Makes me wish I was near the husband to give him a big kiss on the lips. I emailed him yesterday and said, "When I see you in a month you better be wearing your kissing lips!"

  3. I love them, but they make me sad to look at. I can't help but wonder how many of these couples in love made it back to one another...

  4. The emotion in this pictures is so raw and romantic {plus, that guy in that first picture is HOT ... I mean, how could one not notice those arms :)}. GREAT round-up!

  5. CUTE! I love looking at old vintage photographs like this! That first one is hilarious (everyone lifting that girl up to the window so she could kiss her man :).

  8. Seeing one warms my heart.. seeing many shocks me.. You're right, there was definitely a trend of unbridled passion for a supposed conservative time. This is yummy, crazy love.. I love it!

  11. They're just so...lovely aren't they? is it that they just don't make romance the way they used to, or we can't make it the way they used to.
