gratitude

happy first of july!!!
isn't that crazy? this year is just flying by.
all the more reason to stop and reflect on the good stuff in life.

this week i am so thankful for...
* sunshine!
* alone time.
* having backup plans.
* "twist and shout" by the isley brothers.
* finally getting to hang out with a dear friend.
* starting the week with a sweet {and free!} outdoor concert.
* not only surviving a rough day but also learning valuable lessons from it.
* a cute haircut by the mister {success!}.

{your comments and well-wishes about dannon cutting my hair yesterday were hilarious.
he's so completely logical that it was easy breezy. phew!}

what are you thankful for this week?

ps - i hope you all have lovely long weekends {for those of you living in the U.S.} and
lovely normal-lengthed weekends for those of you not in the U.S.

  1. Love your ginormous hair, and the new more manageable. Regarding your comment on my blog yesterday, I think it would be so exciting for you to pursue your actual swedish roots. I always dreamt that I had a distant uncle in the US so I could go and visit him, but the great thing for you is that you probably do. How exciting. Hopefully your tracks will take you to Copenhagen, and we can have a coffee :O)
    Have a great weekend,
    A xxx

  8. Your Mister seems to be able to do anything! Noah and I were just talking about learning new instruments this morning (I actually have time this summer - no excuses!). The ukelele came up and I thought of you! :)

    Your hair is super cute and I'm glad you have lots to be thankful for! I'm thankful for the sun too because these bright blue skies are what my spirit needs in the summer time. Plus my plants could use some too. Happy Friday Kim!
