happy existence day!!

that's right, today is the day to celebrate the fact that you exist {and i do too!}.  
you and i are alive, isn't that awesome?!  

i mean, sure some days are really hard {boy don't i know it!}, but the fact that we exist means we also get the chance to learn, grow, and experience all those amazingly wonderful things in life too.  
and that's totally rad!  

so how should you celebrate?  the existence day website has this to say:
Do the things you love to do the most. Take the day off from work, ride your bike for fun, or fly a kite! Want some more ideas? Have a look at the idea cloud for inspiration. The most important thing to do on Existence Day: Enjoy yourself.

by the by, the idea cloud is super fun. you can even add your own ideas to it!


so okay, be honest - how often do you really celebrate you?  what's that?  hardly ever? never? only on your birthday? well, i think it's time you take a day and enjoy everything that makes you YOU. 

i'm planning on enjoying all the glorious tastes of my favorite foods, dancing like a crazy person, and singing my little heart out today!  what will you be doing to celebrate?

    Happy Existence Day! I love the concept of celebrating yourself just 'cause. Tonight,I might do a little singing and a little knitting to celebrate the day.

    I always make sure to celebrate me on my birthday, but really, I should get into the habit of doing that every day. Happy Existence Day, Kim! I'm so glad both you and I exist!

    Love this idea. I checked out the cloud. I like cuddling, picnicing, and riding my bike. :) Hope it gets warm enough (consistently) in order to do a couple!

    Ok I'll be honest-- I celebrate me whenever there's free time, which in a sense is right now. So I guess, every time I'm blogging, I'm celebrating!

    I had no idea there was such a day! Leave it to you, Kim, to find out these important things! :) I can't think of a time that I took to celebrate me, not even on my birthdays. Hmm.. something needs to change asap!

    Well, I will be teaching during the day and babysitting in the evening. But, I'm teaching about forgiveness and restorative justice, which is a celebration for me since it's so important. I will squeeze the baby extra tight tonight, too. :)

    Cool. Trust you to know about a day as awesome as this, Miss Kim! I am taking myself downtown this afternoon where I will indulge in a vanilla tea and a dark chocolate/walnut biscotti, and spend a whole lotta someone else's money on brand new books for my library. Wheee! I also plan to soak up the sunshine, go for a walk, and just enjoy being me.

    Love the existence day - what a great day. I celebrate me every time I get up, have a coffee, the sun shines, the kids are happy, the blog is full of love from all over the world, the MR is here - AHHH - bliss to be me!!
