There, That's Better...

“The difference between a man and a boy is, a boy wants to grow up to be a fireman, but a man wants to grow up to be a giant monster fireman.”
-Jack Handy

This week has been hard and it's only Wednesday. I feel like I don't really have an anchor keeping me from being swept out to sea. So I did what I always do when I feel this way - pray and read Jack Handy.

  1. Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth you'd probably be able to get a lot of free games.” - JH

  4. Hope you're feeling anchored, and happier, soon.

My favourite Jack Handy is the one about the old lady. "When I see an old lady slip and fall on the sidewalk, my first instinct is to laugh. Then I think, what if I were an ant and she fell on me? Then it wouldn't be so funny."

I also like, "I've never liked clowns. I think it goes back to the time when I was a child. We went to the circus, and a clown killed my father."

Aaah, sick humour at its best. Thinking of you and wishing you laughter to get through the glum times.

  7. I want you to know something - we should be REAL LIFE friends. You and me? We're a fit. I can tell. I hope this doesn't creep you out! Hang in there... and come to Vegas! I'll cheer you up and we'll tell war stories about our profession.
