coolest ever!

i know i'm close to 30, but i so want this bedroom!!!  the awesome design team at kuhl design build {from minnesota} are the talented brains behind this super cool pirate ship bedroom.  there's a ladder and rope bridge leading up to the ship from the entry way, and once inside you'll find everything a good pirate needs: a steering wheel, crow's nest, & climbing rope.  there's also a bed up there for long nights at sea. 
yarrrrrrr!!!!


i love how the walls are painted to look like the sea beneath the ship and sky above. 


the climbing rope leads down into the closet below {on the right}. 



seriously, can i please have one?!

and now, in the spirit of this post, i shall share one of my favorite pirate jokes: 
*ahem* 
what did the pirate say when his wooden leg got stuck in the freezer?
"shiver me timbers!"

    I AM 30 and want this bedroom. Forget about how old you are -- do what you love. That's all that matters. And lucky you for having a husband who could probably totally make this for you, yes?

    AH! So much fun. I've seen some similar things on those home makeover shows (usually they do the kids' rooms in a decked out style like this. Is it embarrassing to say I'd probably be afraid to climb in the top? How does it stay up there??
