morse code jewelry

a few weeks ago, when we stopped in at unique LA, i discovered an incredible new shop: coatt jewelry.

coatt necklaces are based on morse code, using a series of dots and dashes to create a word or short phrase on each piece.  you can customize the type of metal {gold or silver}, the color of silk thread, and the overall length.  you can even customize your own word/phrase {with a 30 character limit} if you don't like the ones which are already in the shop.  here are a few of my favorites:

"coeur"

"love me do"

"dandy"

gorgeous, no?
i love how delicate, feminine, and delightfully geeky these all are.

what would you say on your necklace?

  1. I love these. She's one if my sponsors and I adore her and her stuff! I have one that has my maiden name on it. I love how delicate yet strong it is, if that makes any sense!

  2. That's so cute! Maybe I could get one that says "Say cheese" to go along with my photography :) That would be fun!

  3. I've been adoring these necklaces! It would be funny to have the necklace spell out "what," then when people ask "well, what does it say?" there could be a confusing but funny exchange that ensues.

  4. oh, what a beautiful idea! i like danielle's idea of her maiden name. i think i would go with "still to be neat," my favorite poem:) i'm too chicken to ever get a tattoo, but if i ever did, that's what it would say:)

  5. These are so pretty and I'd really want one if I were decisive enough to choose a single phrase. Honestly, I don't know what mine would say. Maybe "passion" or "gratitude" (I'm always trying to remind myself to be grateful). What would yours say Kim?

  9. you guys are awesome! brandi asked for it, so here it is - i would probably say something along the lines of "live life to the fullest" or "live fearlessly."

  10. Oh, sweet. Those are nice. I love the simplicity of the design. To be so so simple and be saying so much...that's food for thought.
I am not sure what mine would say-"fearless love" or something cheeky.
p.s.Congrats on the call back. So happy for you.
