no i'm not offering, i'm talking about the cute clothing line that makes my heart swoon.
have you seen the march lookbook for free people? it's full of gorgeous, bohemian goodies {as usual}, like these:

i love free people, but in my experience, they wear out in a few months, so it's just not worth it for me to pay $80-$200 per item of clothing. BUT! i have found numerous free people clothes at buffalo exchange on haight street {in san francisco}, where they cost but a mere $20-$30. hooray for second-hand shops!!
one thing is for sure, however... this breezy new collection has got me ready for summer!! this will be our first full summer in los angeles, and i'm so excited to have warm weather day after day for many months in a row! i can count the number of times i hung out all day in a summer dress on my hands over the many years i lived in san francisco, so this will be a welcomed experience. plus, now that we have a yard with a hammock and a {soon to be} cabana, i think we'll enjoy our summer even more.
do you have any favorite summer traditions?

Oh I love it - it's dreamy and gives me a breath of (warm) fresh air. Thanks Kim and see you soon. My summer tradition is sandals and flip-flops - can't wait to get my feet into some - come on summer come on summer!!

Wooohhh.. they looked gorgeous !
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely great for summer!
So enjoy your first summer in LA soon !!
Kim, I reckon you do the "30 Photos" too, it will be fun to see yours!!!!!
I have several of their shirts, from when they were cheaper :) Including a baby pink floral babydoll that I keep because of the memories.
ReplyDelete"no i'm not offering" Haha! It's an interesting name and I never thought about it in the way you wrote it till now. I really love their clothing and wish I could afford it, too. I have a couple pieces that my mother got for me at T.J.Maxx years ago and they're pretty good quality so I guess you win some, you lose some. I even follow their blog! But I'm with you... dreaming about summer!
ReplyDeletePicking berries and wearing dresses are always big parts of summer for me. I'm going to be so sad to leave this coast though! I'd love to spend summer here (out of the crazy humidity). And Free People clothing at the lower price is an excellent idea. If I'm spending money on clothing I want them to last me a few years at least.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your LA summer while we freeze in SF!
ReplyDeleteI love these photos bec they encapsulate that "free spirit" vibe. I am a bit too organized and Type A to hang loose this much but oh I wish I could!
Back home, summer meant the beach every weekend. It was lovely.
This will be our first year with our pool so we are bound to have lots of new traditions!
ReplyDeleteI love their Bohemian look
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. I love looking at the designs at Free People, but would never actually purchase it! With a student budget, I just can't afford to spend $80 on one tee!
ReplyDeletelove free people! my favorite pair of jeans i own are free people! (50% off at a local boutique!)
ReplyDeleteHa! I love that you're not offering. Hilarious! Thanks for the tip. I might need to take a jaunt over there soon.
ReplyDeleteI love summer dresses! And I am so ready to wear mine! I love being able to get outdoors all the time in the summer...and dinner on my patio when the days get so sunny and long!
ReplyDeleteI love summer dresses. My favorite summer traditions are garden fresh tomatoes, grilled corn and sweet tea lemonade. Oh, and frolicking outside. Peace.
ReplyDeleteoh free people. they have some cute stuff. some really great stuff. BUT THE PRICES?! most times the prices make me scream. but it is easy enough to rip off their clothing looks/ideas by shopping vintage. YAY!
ReplyDeletei don't have a tradition but definitely would love to go away... to a plce where i can relax and meet interesting people!
ReplyDeleteYou nailed it-- summer dresses, heat, lots of ice and pretty toes all season long!
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want summer go come! I'm sick of scarves and sweaters, bring on the dresses and swimming suits!
ReplyDeletei LOVE free people! but i haven't bought anything from them! i didn't know they wear out, that is good to know cuz they are quite pricey!
ReplyDeleteThis post is making me even more antsy for summer! A particular tradition I'm looking forward to is spontaneous roadtripping!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, just stumbled upon your blog. Glad I did!
These clothes are gorgeous! I've never heard of Free People, so this is my first look!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing :)
I had not heard of this clothing line before... thanks for introducing me! their boho influence is just so pretty. Hope your week is going well
ReplyDeletexoxo
I recently went to a Free People sample sale in the city and walked away with some amazing pieces for only $14 each (the price tag indicated they went for $80+ in stores!). But I looove that vintage hippy chic look!
