hi friends!
i'm back safe and sound from my honeymoon and boy am i tired! :D
we had the BEST time in thailand and got home late friday night two hours before we left. i tell you, the jet lag we got coming east has been a real bitch to get over. we sleep until noon, barely keep our eyes open at 4p, and are WIDE awake at 1a! it sure made the eagle rock music festival super easy to see shows late at night though. we went this saturday night and saw some fun new bands and some old favorites like the submarines.
{at the concert saturday night in my new thailand dress - the only thing i bought on our honeymoon}
by the way, the international date line is pretty mind-blowing. we had a lot of fun when our friend who picked us up from the airport asked what time we left asia and we got to say, "oh we left a couple hours from now." it's like time travel but with really uncomfortable seats and gross food. :)
so i've only seen a few photos from our wedding {which was the most fun day of my life!}. it usually takes professional photographers a few weeks to get all those hundreds of photos ready, so i'm going to hold off on going into the details of our wedding until i have the pictures to prove it. this week i figured i'd start backwards and tell/show you all the fun we had on our honeymoon.
our first stop in thailand was in phuket which is all beach and just gorgeous {it's where the big tsunami hit back in 2004}. dannon's uncle got us reservations at a fancy resort as our wedding gift and it was amazing. we had a beautiful ocean view from our room where we got to watch the sunset and we were right on the beach. sigh...
and now for an overload of photos from the resort and beach!
it's currently monsoon season in thailand, so it would typically pour for an hour in the afternoons. one of our favorite memories from the resort was taking a swim in the warm, hard rain. it was perfect!
our time at the resort was basically spent lying around, relaxing, and decompressing from all our moving and wedding stress. it was just what we needed to survive all of the adventures we were about to have during the rest of our stay in thailand.
tomorrow i'll share some stories of our big adventure into the bay of bengal!
