The rain has begun. Not sure how I'll get to the gym or see Dannon. Looks like I'm stuck inside for the day.

I've been trapped indoors for hours now. Trying to remain hopeful. After all, I have plenty of food for a good long while.

It's been days since we've seen sunshine. Running dangerously low on supplies. Not sure what I'll eat once the last of the natural cheetos are gone.

Had to sacrifice the desk to build a fire. Can hardly remember what dry socks feel like. Growing increasingly hungry. Ate all the crumbs out of the toaster oven. Hope this rain ends soon.

So. hungry. Considered fashioning a flotation device and heading out to search for sustenance, but ultimately decided there'd be no way to prevent being swept away at sea.

Haven't been out in days. Not sure if there are any other survivors. If anyone receives this, please let my family know I love them.

* In case you haven't heard, the bay area has experienced some pretty crazy rain storms over the past few days. You could say it's caused me to experience a certain amount of nuttiness.

  1. Hi there! Thanks for the very insightful comment on my blog. I thought I'd stop by and say hello. I love the notion of filling one's well...inviting in all of the wonderful and inspiring things that life has to offer. I look forward to reading more!

  2. Oddly we haven't had much rain in the uk lately, I sympathise with the weet feet though - its the worst thing! Hope it clears up there soon!

  3. My umbrella sucks! can't ride my bike bc of the rain. I hate bart right now bc of the rain. I can come bring you food so that you will survive this storm, since I am already outside. What gym do you go to? I go to 24hr but cant bring myself to go :(

  4. You should come spend some time in Vancouver!

Wet socks. Ugh. The bane of my existence. I feel your pain, I really do!

  5. i love this post. so fun to read. "fashioning a flotation device"!!love it. the rain is for movie marathons and skipping the workout!!

Day 5: the rising sea levels are lapping at the edges of my island. Being on the ground floor, this is disheartening. No, it doesn't help that I just saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

  7. hahahaha oh my goodness this is too funny!!!

  8. ughhhh so over this rain.

don't mind it during the weekend when i can stay home and lounge but during the week when i have to dress semi-nice and take public transportation with other wet people who smell like rain...uhhhh notsofun.

    nutty? oh heck yes!
